Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. The actress is famous for films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She grew up in an artist family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of artistic fields. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. She was noticed in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide fame and several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. In just three films she was the highest-rated female box office star in the entire world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and autograph were engraved at Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was published. MacGraw was divorced three times.
