Zoe-perry
Perry has the father of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Her parents, however, did not want her to take on acting roles until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry states that she did not want to perform in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry started her acting career with New York after graduation, performing in minor roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry return to California to work as a stage actress. She performed on Broadway with her mother in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In 2015, she appeared together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, she played an recurring role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. Also, she was cast on The CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The character was picked by auditions, even having a strong connection with it.
